Communication, Education and Public Awareness
Malaysia is one of the top 12 mega-diverse countries in the world. WOW! Isn’t that wonderful? However, many Malaysians are still unaware of the natural treasures we hold in this country. By reaching out to the general public, including school children and local communities, we aim to increase the level of awareness and appreciation of our natural heritage. Over the years, we see more and more people within the society having an increase in apathy and engagement on environment and conservation matters. Besides writing articles, we actively share our knowledge and stories through different media channels, including national and international news portals, radio stations, documentaries and social media. Engaging in dialogues with relevant stakeholders to inform and enhance management practices and conservation outcomes based on science is something we constantly try to achieve.
